Eric J. Weiss, CFP®


Eric J Weiss, CFP Eric J. Weiss is a Certified Financial Planner™ PROFESSIONAL and serves as Brightscape's Chief Investment Officer. Prior to founding the company he directed the business development activities of J. P. Morgan Chase's Global Asset Management and Private Bank Division in northern Latin America. Previously, Mr. Weiss was a senior executive at Citicorp's corporate finance group in New York and Latin America. Mr. Weiss earned his M.B.A. from the University of Chicago where he interned at the Center for Research in Security Prices (Chicago, IL) under the direction of Professor Myron Scholes, a Nobel Prize recipient for his work in option pricing. Prior to his studies at Chicago, Mr. Weiss earned an M.A. in economics from Columbia University where he wrote his thesis under the direction of Robert Mundell, also a Nobel Prize recipient for his work in international monetary economics.

Mr. Weiss holds the Certified Financial Planner designation, Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF) designation, a Series 65 investment advisor license, is a member of The National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA) and an Adjunct Professor of Finance at the University of Miami.  Eric has been named one of "America's Top Financial Planners" by the Consumer's Research Council of America.

Mr. Weiss speaks to community groups on financial and investment issues. In his spare time, he enjoys running, tennis, gardening and college football.  Eric's recent book "Financial Illiteracy in America" explains how the lack of financial education in U.S. high schools contributed to the recession and financial panic of 2008-09.

Scott Boyles, CFP® is an Investment Advisor Representative with Brightscape Investment Centers, a nationwide investment and financial planning firm.

Specializing in fee-based planning, Mr. Boyles brings over eight years experience in the finance profession, with three of those specializing in personal financial planning. Formerly he held positions with the Brickman Group, Inc., and Centex Homes.

Mr. Boyles earned his Bachelors degree in Business Administration from Southern Methodist University. He is a Certified Financial Planner™ PROFESSIONAL and holds a Series 65 securities license.

Mr. Boyles is also the financial columnist for the Montgomery County News in Montgomery, Texas.

Kenneth R. Turner Jr. is a Certified Financial Planner™ PROFESSIONAL. Prior to becoming a Brightscape financial advisor and personal wealth creator he worked as a Senior Systems Analyst for MCI and Accenture developing complex financial computer software. Mr. Turner holds a Series 65 investment advisor license and is a member of the Financial Planning Association. He enjoys spending time with his family and clients and in his spare time enjoys the beach and golfing.
