Eric J. Weiss is a Certified Financial Planner PROFESSIONAL
and serves as Brightscape's Chief Investment Officer. Prior
to founding the company he directed the business
development activities of J. P. Morgan Chase's Global
Asset Management and Private Bank Division in northern
Latin America. Previously, Mr. Weiss was a senior executive
at Citicorp's corporate finance group in New York and Latin America. Mr. Weiss earned his M.B.A.
from the University of Chicago where he interned at the
Center for Research in Security Prices (Chicago, IL) under
the direction of Professor Myron Scholes, a recent Nobel
prize recipient for his work in option pricing. Prior
to his studies at Chicago, Mr. Weiss earned an M.A. in economics
from Columbia University where he wrote his thesis under
the direction of Robert Mundell, a recent Nobel price recipient
for his work in international monetary economics.
Mr. Weiss holds a Series 65 investment advisor license, is
a member of The National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA), a 5-Star Paladin Registry Advisor (one of the top 800 advisors nationally) and an Adjunct Professor of
Finance at the University of Miami.
Mr. Weiss speaks to community groups on financial and investment issues on behalf
of the South Florida regional chapter of the Financial Planning Association. In his spare time, he enjoys running,
tennis, gardening and college football.
